Q:I've recently come to terms with what I suppose is my asexuality, but I like to crack a lot of dirty jokes and am fine with others cracking dirty jokes. Does that negate my sexuality?
Of course it doesn’t! Your sexuality is only determined by who you’re sexually attracted to; everything else doesn’t have anything to do with it. I throw dirty jokes at my friends too, sometimes :P

We live in a sexually liberal society, not a liberated one. A truly liberated society is one where sex is value-neutral and not having sex is just as acceptable as having a lot of it.
The fact that asexuals are considered weird, sick, abnormal, mentally ill, repressed, etc is a bold indicator that we are not living in a sexually liberated society but in a liberalized one.
